Welcome

WELCOME!

Hello, and welcome to our website! This site is meant as a resource for educators and living historians on the roles of women in wartime. While our primary focus is World War I American Red Cross, we would like to expand to representing and educating the public about women's history in wartime in general. This site is also primarily for members and recruitment for our living history group. Please feel free to contact us if you were interested in that. We are also a 501c3 nonprofit organization, so any donations are tax deductible. We appreciate you coming to our website and for your support.  DONATE TO US HERE: paypal.me/rosesofnomansland

Mission Statement

Roses of No-Man’s Land strives to accurately portray the roles of the American Red Cross during World War I and educate the public in order to preserve the memories of the men and women who served in the ARC during the war.

Article I- Officers and their Duties

The Roses of No-Man’s Land is governed by a Board of Directors, consisting of a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and historian. The BOD will be compliant in the unit’s mission statement and in accomplishing its goals, and will assess events and develop educational programs for the unit.

The president’s role is to ensure the unit is on target with its mission statement, by leading, developing, and organizing the unit to create a positive culture in order to educate the public.

The vice president’s duties are to assist the president in ensuring the accomplishment of the unit’s goals.

The secretary shall keep track of correspondence and meeting agendas, taking notes at meetings, and meeting minutes.

The treasurer shall oversee unit funds and ensure that the funds are being used properly.

The historian shall keep track of activities and achievements of the unit and its members in relation to living history.

The Board of Directors shall maintain their positions until they decide to step down, or a vote of no-confidence has been ordered.

President (and founder): Julz Espensen

Vice President (and co-founder): Stephanie Celiberti

Secretary: Rachael McCullough

Treasurer: Tristan Bohannon

Historian: Hannah Schultze

If a board member position opens up, the remaining board members shall approach a unit member of good standing to fill the vacant position should the unit member want it.

Vote of no-confidence: Should any member of the unit feel as if a member of the BOD is not doing their job correctly or for the betterment of the unit, they shall bring their detailed concerns to a member of the BOD. These concerns will be evaluated by the BOD (minus the board member concerned), and then the concerns shall be brought to the attention of the board member concerned. Should the board member not change their behavior within two unit events, a vote of no-confidence shall be held by the BOD and board member will be removed if there is at least a ⅔ majority. To fill the open position, the board shall follow the regular rule of filling a board member position.
