About us
What started as a frustration for the lack of WWI living history groups that are women-friendly combined with a love of the era, came The Roses of No-Man's Land. While the primary focus of the group is WWI American Red Cross, we have a passion for telling the stories of women who served in both World Wars.
The American Red Cross (ARC) served an essential role in providing for soldier’s mental and physical health during World War I. Serving on the homefront and the warfront, the ARC provided a variety of services from the Home Service to the Hospital Service, and many other services in between. Almost every soldier benefited from the American Red Cross during the war.
The name, “The Roses of No-Man’s Land”, is based on a popular song of the time period that commemorates the service of ARC nurses. Our goal is to accurately portray the roles of the American Red Cross during World War I and educate the public in order to preserve the memories of the men and women who served in the ARC during the war. We are mainly located along the East Coast and Midwest.
The Roses of No-Man's Land (Corporation) is now officially a 501c3 non-profit! Please contact us if you were interested in donating.
